Our Mission
The Paulding County High School Band strives to inspire excellence in music, leadership, and character. Through performance, teamwork, and dedication, students develop lifelong skills while representing Paulding County High School with pride in the classroom, on the field, and throughout the community.

Meet Our Directors

Mr. Aaron Toft
Director of Bands
Aaron Toft has served as Director of Bands at Paulding County High School since 2016. Prior to his appointment at Paulding County, he was Assistant Band Director at Hiram High School, a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands, and Director of Bands at Manchester High School and Middle School in Manchester, Georgia.
Mr. Toft earned a Master of Education from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky. While at Auburn, he studied conducting with Dr. Richard Good and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Auburn University Bands.
In addition to his work in public education, Mr. Toft has served on the instructional staff of the Macy's Great American Marching Band and the Music for All Summer Summer Symposium. He is also a former member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Toft maintains active professional memberships in the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Pi Kappa Lambda, and holds honorary membership in Kappa Kappa Psi.
Mr. Toft and his wife, Molly, live in Acworth, Georgia, with their daughters, Emmalyn and Amelia, and their cat, Harley.

Ms. Billie Rodriguez
Assistant Director of Bands
Billie Rodriguez is from Douglasville, Georgia, where she attended South Paulding High School. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Jacksonville State University.
During her time at Jacksonville State, Ms. Rodriguez was an active performer and leader in the Marching Southerners, Chamber Winds, and the Percussion Ensemble.
Since 2024, Ms. Rodriguez has served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Paulding County High School. She has also been heavily involved in the marching arts, serving as the Front Ensemble Coordinator for Q2 Independent for four seasons and Atlanta CV Drum & Bugle Corps for one season. In 2025, she was the Percussion Caption Head for Atlanta CV.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Rodriguez is an active clinician and percussion instructor throughout the Southeast. She has also had the honor of serving as a percussion instructor for the Macy's Great American Marching Band.
Outside of teaching, Ms. Rodriguez enjoys staying active at the gym, rock climbing, cooking, and spending time with her two cats.
